Geocache Description:

Vladimir Ilyich Lenin used to like to hang out in London quite a bit in the early years of the 20th century. And who can blame him? Not open 24/7

In fact he was in London at least six times between 1902 and 1911, and on at least five of these occasions found the time to call into the British Museum whose Library collections were in his view unparalleled. He was also a regular at The Crown on Clerkenwell Green.

In 1905, he and his wife, Nadya Krupskaya stayed at 16 Percy Circus, just off the Pentonville Road, where a Travelodge now stands. It is now the site of a Blue Plaque.

Take a seat in the little park opposite the plaque and imagine Vladimir Ilyich gazing down at you from the window and towards Moscow.
