One of a series of Church Micro’s with some connection to myself or my ancestors.
A Traditional Cache located within sight of the parish Church of St Matthew in the village of Blackmoor, Hampshire.
The parish of Blackmoor & Whitehill was formed in 1867, from parts of the ancient parishes of Selborne, Headley and Greatham. Alice Whitehill Lemon (a distant cousin) was the first person to be baptised in the new Parish Church of St Matthews, in 1869.
My Great Great Grandparents, James & Hannah Lemon are buried in this Churchyard. Their gravestone can be found just inside the churchyard wall opposite the West door, very close to where the cache is hidden.
You are looking for small container with room for small swaps or TB’s. There is no pen, so please bring your own.
Please make sure you replace it well back its hiding place, so it is out of sight – but still within arm’s reach!
If anybody would like to expand this Church Micro series, please do, we would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
