A mystery cache that may not be of interest to many visitors to Iceland, but there are enough football fans and fans of puzzle caches (of which there are not that many in Iceland) to make setting this cache worthwhile.
On the date that is the title of this cache, two great teams met and played their first ever European match. The teams in question where of course KR Reykjavik (KNATTSPYRNUFÉLAG REYKJAVÍKUR)and Liverpool FC and this cache is hidden near the ground where the game was played.
At least that's what I thought as I'd previously visited the National Stadium in town and they said that KR didn't play there but at a ground some way away. However my thanks are due to Liverpool & KR fan Gunnar Stefánsson who told me the match was not played at the KR home ground near this cache 
!!
I have checked my rare & valuable programme for the game and found that, as Gunni said and I should have known, the game was indeed played at “Laugardalsallur” - the national football stadium near to my Kinky Football GC1YXD5 multicache!

I'M VERY GRATEFUL INDEED TO THESE "WHITE KNIGHTS OF GEOCACHING" FOR ENABLING ME TO KEEP THIS CACHE GOING & HELPING TO GIVE PLEASURE TO OTHER GEOCACHERS.
