Geocache Description:

This cache is near Lake Katherine beneath Santa Fe Baldy in New Mexico.

The writeup included below is the original verbiage from tgchristie.

I planted this cache on a hike to Lake Katherine. Warning! This cache may be difficult to find and I did run across a bear on the way. My GPS didn't get great reception up there, either. My resolution was around +/- 40 feet.

Lake Katherine was created by glacier that carved out the lake and left a granite dam. There is a trail of large boulders from the dam that under which water flows. You can hear it but not see it. The cache is located on the boulders above the river.

The cache was an ad hoc idea so I didn't have anything proper to leave in the cache box. I left a keychain clip and a map in a pelican case. Please leave a pencil if you make it to the cache.
