Church Micro 895 ... Romford Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

Geocache Description:

The church of St Edward the Confessor stands in the heart of the busy town of Romford, surrounded by its shops, houses, pubs, clubs and businesses and famous market. There has been a church here since 1410 serving what was an Essex market town and now is the bustling and vibrant place where Essex and East London meet.

The present church was completed in 1850 on the site of the church of 1410 and it continues its ministry of worship and welcome. The church is open each day as a place for prayer and quiet.

More information on the church can be found at stedwardsromford.org

Its obviously a busy location, especially on market days (although thats when I set the cache!) The cache is NOT in the churchyard itself.

The cache has a log book but no pen so please bring one with you. You are looking for a micro sized screw top container, a little larger than a film pot.

If any body would like to expand to this series please do, could you please let sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
