The cache is several dozen metres to the Ngu Lam peak - the rooftop of Cat Ba resort island. Tough jungle run for everyone and good ol' Huey air support for the first-to-finder guarantied.
First, get to the Cat Ba National Park entrance and follow to the Ngu Lam peak. The tickets will cost you VND 10.000 (USD 0.6) per person. A watchtower on the peak is the aim. Actually there're 2 trails, hard and "easy", both will do. Trekking will need some endurance, especially in the final part. GPS wasn't quite accurate as you can see on the pic, so here are some necessary hints. Getting out of jungle near top (when seeing skies) you will see metal stairs and right before a little path to the left, get there. Walk some 5 metres and there's a little clearing ending with a splitted rock. Here you can start searching. The cache is in plastic food container, hidden in a hole in the rocks, covered with old bamboo leaves.
Please bring the Geocache letter to put in.
Geocaching is good, but don't forget to take another 5 minutes to get to the top and see the whole island view. In any case you pay for it.
