Kätkö sijaitsee entisen Maunussuon hyppyrimäen lähellä.
Maunussuon hyppyrimäki rakennettiin Ylöjärven Ryhdin, Ylöjärven Urheilijoiden ja kunnan yhteistyönä 1950-luvun puolivälissä. Hyppyrimäki oli hyppääjien aktiivisessa käytössä 1960-luvun puoliväliin asti. Epävirallinen mäkiennätys oli noin 45 metriä. Nykyään mäestä muistuttavat enään rappeutuvat betonijalat ja umpeenkasvaneet rappuset.
Kätkö on reilu small kokoinen rasia, jonne mahtuvat hyvin erilaiset matkalaiset. Laitathan rasian kunnolla piiloonsa!
Terrain vaihtelee lähestymissuunnasta riipuen 2,5 - 3,5 tähden välillä. Jos jätät autosi lähelle vesitornia matka on melkein tasaista, mutta kävelymatkaa tulee reilusti enemmän. Maunussuon parkkipaikka on reilusti lähempänä, mutta joudut kävelemään paljon mäkisemmässä maastossa. Valitse itse.
Harjulla GPS tarkkuus voi paikoin olla huonoa. Vihjeen avulla kätkö löytyy kuitenkin hyvin. Runsaslumisena talvena kätkö voi olla vaikeasti löydettävissä.

The cache is located near the old Maunussuo's ski jumping hill.
Maunussuo's ski jumping hill was build by Ylöjärvi municipality in co-operation with Ylöjärven Ryhti and Ylöjärven Urheilijat sports clubs in the middle of the 1950'ies. The hill was in active use by jumpers till the middle 1960'ies. The unofficial record jump was ca. 45 metres. Today only concrete pillars and steps covered by moss remind you of the hill.
The cache is a small/regular sized box, in which different travellers fit quite well. Place the box properly back in the hideout, please!
The terrain varies between 2,5 - 3,5 depending on the way you choose. If you leave your car near to the water tower, the route is much longer, but your path is easy, without hills. Maunussuo's parking place is much nearer, but you have to walk in harder terrain. You can choose your favourite route.
On the esker area the GPS signal is locally weak. The hint will, however, help you to find the cache quite nicely. In winter, if there's lots of snow, the cache may be difficult to find.
