Die Bettelwurfhütte dient als Ausgangspunkt für die Besteigung des Großen Bettelwurfs. Dies ist der höchste Gipfel der Gleiersch-Halltal-Kette und der vierthöchste Gipfel im Karwendelgebirge.
Der cache befindet sich ca. 50m oberhalb der Hütte.
The "Bettelwurfhütte" is a starting point for the ascent of the "Großer Bettelwurf". This is the highest summit of the "Gleiersch-Halltal-Kette" and the fourth-highest mountain in the Karwendelgebirge. The cache is approx. 50 m above the hut.

UPDATE:
Bis auf Weiteres ist die Mautstraße gesperrt und man muss am großen Parkplatz am Eingang zum Halltal sein Fahrzeug stehen lassen.

Es führen zwei Wege zur Bettelwurfhütte (visit link) , die auch zu einer Rundtour kombiniert werden können.
Als Ausgangspunkt dient der Parkplatz 2.Ladhütte (1070m) an der Mautstraße (€ 4,- in Münzen am Automaten zu zahlen).
Der schnellere und steilere Weg führt von dort beschildert über den Bach in ca. 2,5 Stunden zur Hütte.
Die zweite und längere Variante geht über St. Magdalena – Herrenhäuser – Lafatscher Joch (2081m) in ca. 4 Stunden zur Hütte.
Die Bettelwurfhütte dient für Schwindelfreie auch als Ausgangspunkt für den cache am Bettelwurf (visit link)

The toll road is closed to traffic and You have to leave the car at the parking area at the beginnig of the valley.
It is possible to fetch a taxi (visit link)

Two ways lead it to the "Bettelwurfhütte" (visit link) which can be also combined to a round trip.
Start at the parking bay "2. Ladhütte" (1070m) from the toll road (4€ in coins in the machine to pay).
The quicker and steeper path leads from there labelled and crossing the brook in approx. 2.5 hours to the hut.
The second and longer variation leads to "St. Magdalena" – "Herrenhäuser" – "Lafatscher Joch" (2081m) in approx. 4 hours to the hut.
The "Bettelwurfhütte" serves for the free from giddiness also as a starting point to cache in on the "Bettelwurf" (visit link)
