Geocache Description:

[FRANCAIS] La cache se situe à proximité d'une cascade dans une vallée très encaissée. La difficulté provient du fort dénivelé: 200m depuis le parking haut, ou des multiples traversées de la rivière depuis le parking bas. Il est ensuite possible d'atteindre "Les Sauts du Cayla I" en remontant la rivière.

A partir du parking haut sud (PK1), suivre le sentier fléché "Le Saut Grand". Prendre le sentier de droite au point STAGE1 et descendre jusqu'à un promontoire une dizaine de mètres au-dessus de la cascade (Attention, ne pas tenter le Grand Saut!).
A partir du parking haut nord (PK2), suivre les indications fournies pour Le saut du Cayla I jusqu'au point SautGrand puis suivre la piste marquée en jaune jusqu'au pied de la cascade.
A partir du parking bas (PK3), suivre le sentier fléché "Le Saut Grand". Plusieurs traversées de la rivière seront nécessaires pour atteindre le pied de la cascade. A partir de là, atteindre le promontoire rive gauche.

La cache se trouve 50cm sous le sommet du promontoire, derrière une pierre! Il s'agit d'une boîte cylindrique d'environ 10cm x 5cm. Elle contient le log book, un crayon et initialement un oeuf et une voiture de course.

A partir de là, il est possible de descendre sur la gauche au pied de la cascade ou sur la droite en amont de la cascade (Attention, chemins glissants!). Depuis l'amont de la cascade, il est possible d'atteindre "Les Sauts du Cayla I" en 1/2h environ. Traverser la rivière et suivre la rive droite jusqu'à 50m en aval du Petit Saut. Des encoches dans les rochers permettent de ne pas se mouiller... Monter ensuite tout droit sur une vingtaine de mètres vers la cache (Attention, pente glissante!).

Access difficulties:

From the high parking, ground drop 200m.
From the low parking, it is necessary to cross the river several times

Access:

Starting from the high parking south (PK1), take the path "Le Saut Grand". At STAGE1, take the path on the right. Next, go down till a little promontory about 10 meters above the waterfall. Be careful not to jump in the waterfall!
Starting from the low parking (PK3), take the path "Le Saut Grand". Go to foot of the waterfall crossing the Cayla several times. There, go to the promontory on the left bank.

The cache, a cylindric box of 10cm x 5cm containing the logbook and a pencil, is 50cm above the summit of this point.
From the promontory, it is possible to go towards the foot of the waterfall or towards the top of waterfall (slick paths). From above the waterfall, it is possible to go up towards "Les Sauts du Cayla I" (about half an hour). Cross the river, and follow it on its right bank. Almost 50m before you reach the "Petit Saut" go up (about 20m) towards the cache (slick ground). Nicks in the rocks keeps you from getting soaked.
