Plešivec - prírodní památka
Cedicový vrch (509 m n. m.) nad údolím Tlucenského potoka, krytý
rozsáhlými sutemi. Chránené území je zamereno na ochranu volných
otevrených sutí, pokrývajících svahy a cástecne i vrcholové partie
kopce, se systémem proudení vzduchu, umožnujícím existenci
ledových jam a tzv. ventarol, výronu teplého vlhkého vzduchu v
zimním období. Masiv Plešivce je budován sloupcovite
odlucnou cedicovou horninou olivinickým leucitem. V severní cásti
území je úzký pruh tufu, v okolí barokní kaple sv. Jana Krtitele se
vyskytuje sklovitý cedic (limburgit). Podloží je tvoreno
krídovými sedimenty - slínovci svrchnoturonského až coniackého
stárí. Na nekolika místech pri úpatí mocných sutí jsou ledové jámy,
ve kterých led a firnový sníh pretrvává obvykle až do zacátku
léta. Pod západním svahem je navíc vytvoren protisvah, uzavírající
vanovitý prostor s možností hromadení studeného vzduchu.
Území je prístupné po znacené turistické stezce.
Vaším úkolem je odpovedet na následující otázky a
vyfotografovat se (nebo alespon svou GPS) na výchozích
souradnicích, v pozadí s ledovou jámou.

Plešivec – natural
monument
A basalt hill (509 mabove the sea level) above the valley of
Tlucenský steam, covered with vast detritus. The protected
territory focuses on protection of free and open detritus that
covers slopes and partly also the peak parts of the hill with the
system of air-circulation enabling existence of ice shafts and
so-called ventaroles, i.e. vents where moist warm air outflows
during the winter season. The massif of Plešivec is built by
columnar basalt rock olivine leucite. In the northern part of the
area there is a narrow belt of tuff, in the surroundings of a
baroque chapel of Saint Johnthe Baptist there is glassy basalt
(limburgit). The bedrock is formed of chalk sediments –
marlstones from Upper Turonianand Coniacian age. At several places
at feet of huge debris there are ice shafts where ice and firn snow
usually lasts until the beginning of summer. Under the western
slope there is a counter slope closing the tub-like space with the
possibility of cumulating cold air.
The area can be accessed by walking on a tourist-marked
track.
