Geocache Description:

Micro at a trail junction overlooking a driving range.

This is the replacement for Santa Teresa Driving Lessons: (visit link)
The original cache was at the trailhead, but it was muggled twice. This one is farther up the trail, at a trail junction. The somewhat secret trailhead at the original location, which is right behind the Santa Teresa Driving Range, is the closest access point to the cache. The trailhead is at the end of the parking lot. There is a gravel service road and a gate. Go through the gate and up the service road, but don't dilly-dally, or you may get bonked by a golf ball. When you come to a trail junction, the cache is nearby, a step or two from the trail. No bushwhacking required. You should not have to worry about snakes at the cache location, but snakes can be anywhere in the park. You can get a nice view of the driving range and golf course, without having to worry about getting hit with a golf ball (unless Tiger is practicing). This is a micro cache, so bring your own pen or pencil. You may find it useful for other purposes. Please replace the cache so that muggles can't see it, but cachers can still retrieve it.

You can continue on the Ohlone Trail to the south. It runs relatively level above the golf course and ends at the archery range. If you go up the hill, you can continue on the Ohlone Trail, which heads west to Bernal Road. You can also go up the Coyote Peak Trail, which continues up to Coyote Peak. You can also reach the Ridge Trail and the Boundary Trail. These trails have some steep parts, especially the Boundary Trail, which is crazy-steep.

9/7/13 The cache was missing. I replaced it nearby. It's a different cache type and hide method. It's an un-camo'd film can. It has room for small trading items, but doesn't have a pencil.

Update: The cache is now a camo'd plastic container, about the size of a film can. It had a tendency to get lost in the past, requiring a painful search to find it. It now has additional camo to prevent that.
