Little Lady's Letterboxing Across America Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

gvsu4msu: [orange]Went to the park last night to drop off some travel bugs at the "QuaLEEty Inn Travel Bug Hotel" and took the micro to play at the Age of Discovery playground. On the walk home, we stopped to check on this letterbox cache.

Sadly it was MIA. [:(]

This one has had a good run over the last 10 months, so we are archiving this cache.

Thanks to all who have visited.

LITTLE LADY'S LETTERBOXING ACROSS AMERICA
(Letterbox Hybrid)

This is our second letterbox hybrid cache. It is again named in honor of "The Mrs" (as referred to in various logs of gvsu 4msu). In our geocaching adventures  we have found many of these  and enjoyed the change in pace from a typical geocache. Since the last one suffered it's untimely fate at the hands of muggles, we thought we would place another one. We hope that you enjoy this change of pace as much as we do. We hope that you enjoy walking through Hagar Park in Jenison as well. There are many other caches in this park, so make sure to check them out and make a day of your caching adventures. There is also plenty of play equipment for the kids.

In the spirit of letterboxing we don't give you the coordinates to the cache but instead a series of clues or directions to find it. You don't need to have a personal stamp & personal log book
to seek this cache, but to stay with the intent of letterboxing a personal stamp would be nice. You can get a stamp of your own at most hobby stores, they aren't very expensive. Please don't take the stamp or ink pad from the cache. They are to stay in the cache. Thanks.

FTF Prize is an unactivated and trackable SUMMER 2007 MiGO geocoin. (see image below)

Here are the directions that you must follow to find this Letterbox (Hybrid) cache.

Start at the posted coordinates above. Begin by looking for the westward trail towards the land of Microsoft and Starbucks. Follow that trail. Once you arrive in the "Evergreen State" (no do not go all the way to the trees), continue south down the coastline to the "Golden State". After a short stay, proceed easterly along the southern border of the "Lone Star State" until you reach the Southern tip of the "Sunshine State". From there you will cross over the wooden pathway. After crossing the wooden pathtway, look to the South-East for a Nature Trail sign. Look closely, it might be hard to see.
Proceed to the sign. From the sign follow the trail until your reach the "Y". Travel to the right. Soon you will see another trail. Turn left and follow the trail until it splits again. Turn right and follow that trail until is splits again. Turn left and travel along the trail until you reach the valley. Once you reach the valley, turn around and walk 15 paces back the way you just came on the trail . There you will see a tree on your left. The cache is about 5 feet past this tree in the "wood pile" on the ground. Please be gentle with the cache hide location.  (If at any time you come across a rusty bridge over the creek, you have gone too far in that direction. Start again at the Nature Trail sign and pay closer attention.)

Once the cache is found, you can stamp your personal logbook with the stamp in the cache (please place back in cache when done) and stamp our logbook with your stamp. If you do not have a stamp, feel free to draw something for us to enjoy. If you can't draw just sign your name.

Please replace stamp and logbook into their respective ziploc bags to prevent the ink on the stamp from ruining the logbook. Some napkins are provided in case it gets messy.

Please rehide well using the natural cammoflauge in the immediate area.

We hope that you enjoy doing our second Letterbox (hybrid) cache.

As always, thanks for doing another GVSU4MSUcache.

Congratulations to ourfamluvscaching on the FTF
