La Montagne Percée
Cette coulée de lave avance comme une langue basaltique entre Chamalières et Durtol. Durant son refroidissement, des bulles se sont formées dans les orgues, dont la plus notoire, la grotte de la Montagne Percée, est si volumineuse, qu'elle ressort de l'autre côté de la montagne, en une "fenêtre" donnant sur la voie romaine (actuellement, Le Colombier).
Cet endroit est bien connu des Clermontois, mais peu de gens de passage, et pourtant, en une demie heure on l'a visité. (800m A/R)
Garez vous en N 45°46.922 E 003°02.349 puis rejoignez le spot, en empruntant le chemin à gauche de la propriété privée, au passage, sur le plateau, vous aurez un beau point de vue.
La petite falaise est un site d'entrainement à l'escalade.
Arrivés à la grotte traversez jusqu'a la "fenêtre".
En repassant, trouvez le super-spoiler, et essayez de bien recacher, l'endroit étant un lieu de fête notoire (une petite lampe peut être utile).
Rejoignez le parking par le chemin du bas, sur la droite duquel vous verrez une autre petite grotte.
Si l'endroit n'est pas occupé, idéal pour un bivouac ou barbecue, même par temps de pluie.

This lava flow advance as a basalt tongue between Chamalieres and Durtol. During cooling, bubbles formed in the organs, the most well known, the cave of the Mountain Breakthrough is so voluminous, that a "window" is pierced on the other side of the mountain, overlooking the Roman road (now Le Colombier).
This place is well known to Clermontois but little wanderers, yet in half an hour we have visited. Takes about half a mile roundtrip.
You park in N 45°46.922 E 003°02.349 and then join the spot, along the path to the left of private property, in passing, on the plateau, you'll have a nice view.
The small cliff is a site for training in climbing.
Arrived at through the cave until the "window".
In passing, find the super-spoiler, and try to re-hide it well, the place being a place of celebration known (a small lamp can be useful).
Join the car park by the way of the bottom on the right of which you will see another small cave. If there's no one, nice place a bivouac or BBQ, even it's raining !
