The Salzach River and the glaciers of the ice ages have separated the previously linked Tennen- and Hagengebirge at the thinnest point and turn away.
The glaciers have uncovered shell casings, so that the transverse and longitudinal sections of the shells are visible.
The age of those fossils out of the Dachsteinkalk from the upper triassic are more hundred million years old.
To get log permission you must answer the following question and task:
1. Measure the height of the visible shell bank at the highest point.
2. How many hundred millions of years are those fossils old?
Take a photo of yourself with your GPS next to the header coordinates (see example) and add it to your log. (optional)

Die Salzach und die Gletscher der Eiszeiten haben das vorher zusammenhängende Tennen- und Hagengebirge an der schwächsten Stelle durchfahren und abgetragen.
Der Gletscher hat hier eine Ansammlung von Muschelgehäusen freigelegt, so daß die Quer- und Längsschnitte der Schalen sichtbar sind.
Das Alter dieser Leitfossilien aus dem Dachsteinkalk der Obertrias beträgt mehrere hundert Millionen Jahre.
Um diesen Earth-Cache loggen zu dürfen beantworte folgende Frage und Aufgabe:
1. Messe die Höhe der sichtbaren Muschelbank an der Höchsten Stelle.
2. Wie viele hundert Millionen Jahre sind die Leitfossilien alt?
Mach ein Foto von dir mit deinem GPS nahe an den Headerkoordinaten (siehe Beispiel) und füge es deinem Log bei. (optional)
