1/ Le donjon.
Ce donjon (12ème et 13ème siècles) est le seul vestige conservé du château de Salies. Construit sur un promontoire rocheux, ce château est resté au sein de la famille du comte de Comminges.
Il est composé de murs épais qui semblent appartenir à une ancienne forteresse édifiée avant le château.
2/ La chapelle castrale Sainte Germaine.
La façade orientale, le clocher-mur ainsi que le mur latéral nord de la chapelle indiquent qu’elle a été édifiée à l’époque du donjon. Le reste de l’édifice est contemporain des aménagements du château au 14ème siècle.

1/ The keep.
The keep (12th and 13th centuries) is the only preserved remnant of Salies Castle. Built on a rocky promontory, the castle remained in the family of the Count of Comminges.
It consists of thick walls that seem to belong to an ancient fortress built before the castle.
2/ Saint Germaine’s Chapel.
The eastern facade, the tower wall and the north side wall of the chapel show that it was built at the time of the keep. The rest of the building is contemporary of the castle fitting in the 14th century.
