Randonnée d'une heure en montagne ou possibilité de faire la cache à la montée ou la descente du refuge et des lacs du Chambeyron

Construit dans les années 1930, ce point d'appui faisait partie de la ligne Maginot pour contrer une éventuelle offensive Italienne par le col de Larche. Une fois à la cache, vous avez une vue sur l'ensemble de la vallée de Saint-Paul sur Ubaye d'un coté et sur le vallon de Fouillouse de l'autre coté. En suivant les anciennes tranchées vous pouvez observer les différents points d'observation sur la zone de la cache et la zone des baraquements en contrebas.
La cache se situe à 2100m d'altitude, elle est accessible sans neige de mai à octobre environ. De novembre à avril, l'enneigement éventuel nécessite du matériel adéquat (raquettes ou ski de randonnée) et la cache sera beaucoup plus difficile à trouver.
Parking obligatoire au point N44 31.475 E6 47.797
Cette cache necessite ensuite environ 1h de marche à partir du parking, aller et retour compris.
La cache se situe à proximité du chemin menant au refuge et aux lacs du Chambeyron. Pour l'aller, traverser le hameau de Fouillouse puis prendre le sentier du refuge à gauche (pancarte indicatrice). Pour le retour, la descente en directe sur le parking est fortement déconseillée (fortes pentes, terre et herbes très glissantes). Possibilité de reprendre le chemin utilisé à l'aller ou le sentier des "Vistes" qui repart de la zone des baraquements et qui rejoint directement le parking sans passer par Fouillouse

Cette cache se situe en montagne, avant de partir pensez à consulter la météo et prévenir du lieu où vous vous rendez, et n'oubliez de prendre un sac avec de l'eau, des vetements chauds et imperméables (si possible séparément : polaire + gore-tex), un sifflet, une trousse de premier secours (antiseptique, elastoplast,...), des barres énergétiques. Attention, sur l'intégralité du parcours les téléphones portables ne captent pas rendant l'appel des secours difficile.

Constructed in years 1930, this fulcrum was part of the line Maginot to counter a possible Italian offensive by the pass of Larche. Once in the hiding place, you have a view on the whole valley of Saint-Paul sur Ubaye on one side and on the other side a view on the valley of Fouillouse. Following the ancient trenches you can notice some observation points on the zone of the hiding place and the zone of barracks down below.
The hiding place is situated in 2100m of height, it is approachable without snow from May till October approximately. From November till April the possible snow coverage requires of the adequate equipment (snowshoes or ski touring) and the hiding place will be much more difficult to find.
Car park compulsory for the point N44 31.475 E6 47.797 this cache require then approximately 1 hours of walking from the car park, the included round trip.
The hiding place is close to the way leading to the shelter and to the lakes of Chambeyron. To go it, cross the hamlet of Fouillouse then take the track of the shelter to the left (signpost placard). For return, the descent in direct to the parking is disadvised (strong slopes, slippery ground and grass). Possibility of taking back the way used to go or the track of "Vistes" which leaves from the barracks' zone and that joins the parking directly without passing through Fouillouse
Think of taking a pen!
This hiding place is situated in mountain, before leaving think of consulting the weather report and of warning of the place where you go, and don't forget to take a bag with some water, warm and waterproof vetements (if possible separately: polar + Gore-Tex), a whistle, a first aid kit (antiseptic, elastoplast), energy bars. Take care, on the completeness of the course, mobile phones do not get.
