Breathe in the atmosphere... smell the coal smoke... watch the station master blowing his whistle... Well, ok, you've got to do all that in your head since Dollar was another victim of the Beeching Railways massacre of the 1960s. However, you can still enjoy a very pleasant walk or cycle along the former railway line between Tillicoultry and Dollar, and at Dollar you will find one of the more obvious reminders of what this used to be.
Some stealth may be required when the "line" is busy.
