randallh: Oregon is on fire. The cache is in a remote location. It takes a week long expedition and a river permit to access. The cache is in a location that no one else is likely to claim. I’ll archive this and replace it on my next trip on the Rogue River.

Geocache Description:

This is in a unique location. You will have to be on your toes to find the only reasonable access.

We placed this one while on a five-day raft trip on the Wild and Senic section of the Rogue River in Oregon. We were camped at our favorite campsite and we took an inflatable kayak over to the access spot. The walk to the top from this spot is reasonably sane. There may be other less sane access points.

BTW - The summit is at 680 feet above sea level. That is the same elevation as Almeda Park, our launch point. It is pretty amazing looking down from this peak at the river and realizing that you have descended this far.
