O Nordeste é uma vila, sede do concelho por muitos referido como o mais belo da Ilha de São Miguel, no Arquipélago dos Açores, situada, claro está, na costa Nordeste da Ilha.
Plena de beleza natural e uma vegetação exuberante, situada na zona mais acidentada da Ilha, a região espelha bem a magnificência da natureza desta Ilha, como é visível nos vários miradouros que vão surgindo pela costa, como na Ponta do Sossego, na Ponta da Madrugada, na Tronqueira ou no Farol do Arnel, entre tantos outros locais especiais.
A elegante Ponte de Sete Arcos, uma das maiores e mais belas da ilha, edificada em 1882 mesmo no centro de Vila do Nordeste.
Nordeste is a village in a region often referred to as the most beautiful of São Miguel Island, on the Azores Archipelago. It is localised, as obvious from its name, in the Northeast coast of the island. Filled with natural beauty and an exuberant vegetation, on the most geographically rough area of the Island, this region reflects the natural magnificence of the Island, as it is clear in the several viewpoints that are present throughout the coast, such as Ponta do Sossego, Ponta da Madrugada, Tronqueira or the Farol do Arnel (Arnel’s lighthouse), among many other unique places. The elegant bridge of Seven Arcos, one of the largest and most beautiful in the island, was built in 1882 in the centre of Vila do Nordeste.
