C’est en réalisant la multi cache des fortifications de Langres que vous trouverez les coordonnées et l’Additional Hints de cette cache mystère.
Situé à la jonction des deux rivières qui ont évidé l’éperon langrois, ce lieu garde dans sa dénomination le souvenir des gibets que l’on pouvait voir jusqu’à la Révolution. Le sommet de ce lieu d’exécution était alors dépourvu d’arbres. Les tristes et lugubres silhouettes des « fourches » se voyaient donc à plusieurs kilomètres à la ronde et jouaient un rôle exemplaire…
Aujourd’hui, cette colline est devenue un lieu de dévotion religieuse qui accueille une chapelle dont le dôme supporte une statue de la Vierge. De style néogothique, elle a été édifiée par les Langrois en 1873 en remerciement à Marie. Ils respectèrent ainsi leur vœu contracté pendant la guerre de 1870 prévoyant sa construction si la ville échappait à l’entrée des Prussiens. C’est pourquoi elle est dédiée à Notre-Dame de la Délivrance.

Today, this hill became a place of religious worship which welcomes a chapel the dome of which supports a statue of the Virgo. Of neo-Gothic style, it was built by the people of Langres in 1873 in thanking to Marie. They so respected their wish contracted during the war of 1870 planning ,its construction if the city escaped the entry of the Prussians. That is why it is dedicated to Our Lady of the Delivery.
