Geocache Description:

Another in Mole's Series of Series (this could be classed as a triple).

I have put together a series of caches and the theme of these are ‘Series’ – each cache is, in their own right, part of a group of caches around the country following a theme linked to a landmark or object, such as churches, ponds and in this case Little Bridges. (Although when you get there, you could agree that this could also be part of the Church Micro and Mole's Hill View series!)

Each ‘series’ was devised by an individual cacher who either retained the series and developed it on their own such as the ponds, dewponds and lakes series by martletsman or encouraged other cachers to add to the series with the request to advise the originator of a new addition in order to keep tabs of the increasing number and save duplication – such as the church micro series, which is managed by sadexploration. There are some series of caches which do not get referred to by a rolling number allocated by the originator (like church micro #176), instead these others are referred to by their location – such as the motorway mayhem series where the motorway and the junction distinguish it from any other. My little series will draw on many of these – each being part of the series referred to but part of this series – Mole’s SOS (Series Of Series)

This is highlighting a series owned by Stanthews who hails from the Devizes area who has a series of caches all linked to the theme of ‘footbridges’ – and quote “They will be too small for motor vehicles and usually in the middle of nowhere”.
There are now over 500 caches linked to this series

Now to the cache - at the given co-ordinates, you will find a date "In Memory of Ian King", ABCD - EFFC

Now go to N51 09.251 E000 11.773, here you will find out when the church was enlarged, AGGB.

The cache will be found at
N51 0(A+G).(C-E)(B-C)(G-E) E000 1(A+F).(B-D+E)(B-A)(D+A+F)

please note - access to the container will not be easy - so care with footing must be taken in retrieving it (especially when it has been raining)

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast, Damian from Winter Foxes has created and updates a list of cachers who has found 10 or more little bridges and can be found here, if you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan here and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xx then name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to Damian’s list.

**As an update - noting the number for this in the series being #26, there were not many and it wasn't known whether the series would get much larger. However as of 1 Nov 2016 the highest number is #975 with nearly half the counties in the UK having a LB cache - most being in the Wiltshire/Avon area **
