Com esta cache prentendo dar a conhecer alguns recantos da pequena
aldeia do
Funchal
perto de Odrinhas . Desde há milénios que
muitos
antes de nós escolheram estes locais para
viver - inúmeros
vestigios arqueologicos estão ainda hoje
presentes e que quis
homenagear nas 2 caches anteriores.
À Stone Book e Stone Forest segue-se agora uma multi-cache que vos
leva num pequeno percurso através de uma paisagem admirável e de
uma flora e
fauna
vibrantes.
Ao prepará-la lembrei-me
de
um livro delicioso escrito por um veterinário rural escocês
chamado James Herriot a quem presto homenagem com o nome desta
cache.
A cache
Esta é uma multi-cache cujo percurso se inicia no
Funchal , na Rua do Penedo da Fonte e é
constituída por 3 pontos intermédios até à cache final.
As coordenadas dadas são do 1º ponto.
Em cada ponto encontrarão um pequeno contentor com as coordenadas
do ponto seguinte.
O percurso é pequeno e segue um caminho pedonal, mas alguns pontos
e a cache final exigem que saiam do caminho e trepem a alguns
rochedos. Não é dificil embora devam ter cuidado sobretudo se
levarem crianças.

All Creatures Great and Small
With this cache I want to show all geocachers a small village near
Odrinhas and Sintra, called Funchal. Many archeological sites
around prove that people choosed to live here from very ancient
times.
Nearby there are 2 caches,” The Stone Book” and “The Stone
Forest”
in archeological sites and now I want to take you in a nice
walk in rural trails full of life.
While preparing this cache I remembered a lovely book witten by a
scotish veterinary, James Harriot, to
whom
I pay tribute with the cache’s name.
Cache
This is a multi-cache that starts in Funchal, (waypoint
coordinates) with 3 intermediate points until the final
container.
Given coordinates are for the first container.
In each stage you will find a small container with the coordinates
for the next one.
It’s a small walk in a rural trail, but to reach some stages and
the final cache you must abandon the trail and climb some
rocks.
It’s not dificult but be careful specialy with children.
