Geocache Description:

The coordinates are for the car park at Eyeworth Pond. Cache placed with the knowledge of the Forestry Commission and accordance with the Forestry Commission New Forest and East Dorset Permit Agreement. GAGB agreement N.B. as part of this agreement it is not permitted to seek this cache during the hours of darkness. A short multi of about 1.5 miles door to door unless you want to make a round trip. This is not wheelchair freindly and can be very muddy in the winter.

Eyeworth pond was created in the second half of the 19th century by the Schulze Gunpowder Company that had premises in Eyeworth Lodge. Over 100 people worked in the factory at one time in the1890's and the pond was created for the factorys water supply and in case of any accident.
When we were kids we used to fish the pond and caught Perch and Eels.

Stand in centre of the gravel track looking towards the bridge there are two signs on either side of the road. You are using the "Right Hand" Sign for the clues!
