Geocache Description:

This is the third cache of a series of caches called "The Heart Of Oak Series". These caches are named after ships that have connections to the greater Saint John Area, either built here at the Saint John Shipbuilding Yard, or that have names similar to areas around Saint John.

This cache is a little different from the others of the series. This cache is not named after any ship of the Canadian Navy or the Royal Navy, rather after the Navy League Cadet Corps that resides in the KV. Navy League Cadets is slightly different then Sea Cadets, since they are a little younger, and are only funded by the Navy League of Canada, and not the Department of National Defence. Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC) RAYMOND M. CROMWELL was founded in in 1989, and was originally named MARCO POLO, it continued to use this name unit 1998 when its founder Mr. Raymond M. Cromwell, a very prominent member of the Navy League of Canada, was diagnosed with cancer. In his honour the unit was renamed and took its current name RAYMOND M. CROMWELL. Thankfully Mr. Cromwell overcame cancer and has lived on to see the unit named after him grow and prosper.

The Cadets of NLCC RAYMOND M. CROMWELL had a hand in creating this cache. The cadets of Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps BRAS D'OR where along helping myself hiding this cache.
