[LV] Cache (regulara kastite ar zimuli, asinamo, dzešgumiju un registracijas gramatinu) atrodas Usmas ezera uz Mazalsnites salas (saukta ari par Mazo Alkšnu salu).
Ezers atrodas Ventspils rajona uz robežas ar Talsu un Kuldigas rajonu. 4. lielakais Latvija. Ezera atrodas 7 salas:
Viskužu sala 309 ha
Moricsala 83 ha – dabas rezervats
Lielalksnite (Alksnite, Lielais Alksnis, Liela Alkšnu sala) 33 ha - dabas rezervats
Mazalksnite (Maza Alkšnu sala) 2 ha
Zossalina 0,8 ha
Dvinites – divas aplustošas salas 0,002 ha– dabas rezervats
Salas ezeru sadala it ka trijas dalas, vienu no tam aiznem Moricsalas rezervats ar bagatigu faunu un floru, tani skaita ari aizsargajamas sugas. Pati Moricsala apdzivota (dzivo gan tikai rezervata sargs un sezoniali ari daži biologijas studenti) tapat ka Viskužu sala (agrak bija 2 naturalas saimniecibas). Neskatoties uz dzilumu daudz seklu. Ezera krasti parsvara smilšaini, apkartne meži, atputas bazes un kempingi. Ezera ir licenzeta makškerešana.
Vislogiskaka vieta, lai tiktu pie cache ir doties uz kempingu „Bukdangas” (visit link) kas atrodas vistuvak Mazajai Alkšnu salai un iziret tur laivu. Esiet loti piesardzigi un liela veja gadijuma neiesaku tur doties, jo Usmas ezers ir loti viltigs!

[ENG] Cache (regular size box with pencil, erraser, sharpener and logbook) is located in Usma lake on Mazalsnite island (called as Little Alksnu island).
Lake is located in Ventspils district on to border with Talsu and Kuldigas district. 4. bigger lake in Latvia. In Lake is located 7 islands:
Viskužu island
Moricsala – natural preserve
Lielalksnite (Alksnite, Big Alksnis, Big Alkšnu island) – natural preserve
Mazalksnite (Little Alkšnu island)
Zossalina
Dvinites – two islands who in spring time may be flooded in natural preserve.
Islands split lake in 3 parts, one of them take Moricsala natural preserve with rich fauna and flora and with protected species. Vizkužu island and Moricsala is populated area. On Moricsala lives only preserve guard and some students who searching protected species, but on Viskužu sala erlier was 2 natural economy houses. Lake is deep, but with many shallows. Coast in more cases is sandy, in area is large forests and camping sites. In lake is licensable fishing.
Most logical place to get cache is going to camping site called „Bukdangas” (more info at (visit link) ). This camping site is nearest located to this Mazalksnite island where cache is located. In this camping site is possible to rent a boat to get this island, but be very careful because Usma lake is very dangerous in big winds and it can be very risky and lake is not predictable!
