Geocache Description:

Welcome to UWF

The beautiful campus of the University of West Florida is situated on 1600 acres, including 300 acres of marshes and wetlands. Cross country trails and bike trails totaling over 20 miles are available for hiking, running, and bicycling. Access for canoeing and kayaking on Thompson Bayou is near the half-mile Edward Ball Nature Preserve Trail boardwalk. But wait! There’s more! Included at no additional charge is the option to use this fabulous campus for geocaching, too! This offer is for an unlimited time, but you must ACT NOW!

Stop by the Welcome Center ~ Building 81 (use that handy link to the campus map above) to pick up your visitor’s parking permit and nab this cache before hunting other caches on campus. Geocachers viewing this cache page will receive a free link to Rhaegar's Jewels' Caching at UWF Bookmark List. Use this bookmark list to plan your UWF geocaching venture. Later this year the cache container will be filled with helpful information about geocaching on UWF property, but for now it will contain the usual geocaching trade items and log book. Please remove and replace the cache carefully.

This cache has been placed with permission from and in coordination with Shaun Boren, Assistant Director of Outdoor Adventures. Contact Shaun at 850-474-2819 or sboren@uwf.edu, if you would like to place a cache on UWF property.

Enjoy your geocaching experience and campus visit!
