NECO MALO Z HISTORIE:
V roce 1881 byla postavena Jonasem Friessem zeleznicni trat ze Zborovic do Kromerize pro prevoz cukrovarnickych rizku. V roce 2006 byl Zborovsky most kompletne zrekonstruovan...
HISTORIE KROMERIZE:
Prvni pisemna zprava o Kromerizi byla jiz v roce 1110. Mesto bylo zalozeno roku 1260 olomouckym biskupem Brunem ze Schauenburku. Za tricetilete valky mesto hodne utrpelo dvakrat za sebou najezdem svedskych vojsk (v letech 1643 a 1645) a nasledne morem. V sedesatych letech tehoz stoleti zahajil rozsahlou obnovu mesta olomoucky biskup Karel II. Lichenstejn-Kastelkorn. V roce 1848 zasedal v Kromerizi ustavodarny rissky snem. Pro svuj enormni kulturni vyznam (mesto bylo od 17. stoleti kulturnim centrem Hane a cele stredni Moravy) ziskalo mesto prezdivku Hanacke Atheny. V roce 1997 byla vyhlasena nejkrasnejsim historickym mestem Ceske republiky. Dnes ma Kromeriz necelych 30 000 obyvatel. Katastralni vymera cini temer 51km2.
Zachovano a v devadesatych letech opraveno bylo historicke centrum mesta - Velke namesti s podloubim a vedle nej stojici Arcibiskupsky zamek. Ten je spolecne s obema zahradami (Kvetna zahrada a Podzamecka zahrada) od roku 1998 zapsan na listine svetoveho kulturniho dedictvi UNESCO. Nachazi se zde take tri historicky cenne kostely: kostel sv. Morice, kostel sv. Jana Krtitele a kostel Nanebevzeti Panny Marie, kaple svateho Krize, ale take: Mlynska brana, biskupska mincovna, arcibiskupske vinne sklepy, Muzeum Kromerizska a Galerie Artus atd.
Pobliz Kromerize se nachazi prirodni park Zahlinicke rybniky.
