Near the cache, on the other side of the road is a completely white painted 'ghost bike' chained to a road sign. Ghost bikes like this one are installed all over the world at locations where a fatal accident involving a cyclist has occured. They are a memorial to the cyclist who lost their life as a result of the accident at that location and serve to remind all of us about road safety and the importance of taking care around and when passing cyclists on the road.
This bike serves as a memorial to a cyclist who tragically lost their life here in an altercation between themselves on their bike and a stock truck in 2008.
There is no need to venture near the bike to find this cache - it is located on the opposite side of the road. Happy, and safe, caching!
