Geocache Description:

Requirements for Black Belt

Shodan

Congratulations...now you're a BLACK BELT - well almost.  You started out as a White belt, and from there moved on to Yellow and Orange belts. After that came Purple belt and you were allowed to wear a black ghi! After that, you became a Blue belt and then Blue with a stripe. You could see the end of your journey. Then you were a Green belt followed by a Green with a stripe. After that came Brown. And now..... BLACK BELT! The requirements for black belt are particularly strenuous.  You need to be familiar with the five school animals, and what they represent.  The  school animals are the dragon, the snake, the crane, the tiger, and the leopard.  You must also be aware of the school rules.  They are character, effort, etiquette, self-control and sincerity.  And above all, you must be familiar with ALL your material.  When preparing to test for black belt, students will review all their material, from white belt to brown belt.  Students are required to know all their forms, blocks, punches, grabs and defenses against knives and clubs. They will know all their kenpos and all of their combinations.  Combinations are numbered.  Kenpos are identified by letters.  Students testing for black will show tremendous strength and fortitude as they condition their bodies for a test that lasts for hours.  Countless hours are spent reviewing material and honing their bodies to withstand the rigors of the black belt test.  Are you up for the challenge?
