Geocache Description:

Go west, young cacher! Here's a mystery cache that will take you to an scenic coffee opportunity and one of Melbourne's great parks. The published position is an excellent place to hang out, sipping a coffee (or, heaven forbid, a tea) and enjoying the views.

Unfortunately, the coffee shop appears to have closed.

At the published location you will find a picturesque manorhouse built in 1936, which now houses the Mia Mia Cafe Aboriginal Art Gallery and a cafe with plentiful outdoor seating.

While enjoying the view from this elevated position, you might even be lucky enough to get a lesson in boomerang throwing from the Gallery's manager, as our kids did, including some pointers on 'fast food' hunting using two boomerangs at once.

This beautiful park was part of the Wurundjeri tribe's territory, and became farmland in 1847. It was returned to public use as a park in 1971, plans for a residential estate having thankfully gone west due to community opposition.

Revegetation of the park continues, helping the return of significant wildlife species to the area. It's often possible to spot largish groups of kangaroos in quiet corners. Solve our mystery, and you'll be able to spot another significant species -- C & C's twelfth cache.

The park is open every day, including weekends and public holidays, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. During daylight saving the park is open from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM every day, extending to 9:00 PM in the peak summer period.

To find the cache, all the information you need is this.

As with many puzzle caches, we expect some will find it more of a challenge that others. We suggest working on this at home before setting out. It's not the sort of thing to work out whilst sitting on a tree stump.

The evince link will allow you to check your calculations. Some error is allowed, however, the precision of your calculations may effect your ability to determine the precise cache location.

The difficulty rating almost entirely reflects the puzzle. Once you know the location, you should find the hide easy to locate.

Please ensure the cache is well re-hidden from all angles.
