Geocache Description:


CZ:Ledec byla již od 13. století farní osadou. První písemné zmínky o kostele pochází z r. 1350, kdy byl zapsán do seznamu kostelu.

V 16. století za vlády Jana Buriana Ledecského z Rícan a Zdenka Mezirícského z Lomnice byla postavena vež a dokoncena stavba kostela. Presbytár a severní bocní kaple Panny Marie jsou gotické z doby kolem roku 1400. Knežište, zaklenuté krížovou klenbou s žebry svedenými na konsoly, je osvetlené ctyrmi vysokými okny s pusobivou kružbou. Pri nové úprave kostela v roce 1960 bylo nad knežištem zasazeno prícné brevno s vyrezávanou sochou Ježíše Krista na kríži, tak, jak bylo zvykem v gotice, což nahradilo predchozí,již znacne poškozený pseudogotický oltár z r. 1883 od architekta Josefa Rockera. Evropskou raritou je sítová klenba lodi, která nemá nosný, ale pouze dekorativní úcel. Zhotovili jí ledecští hrncíri v 16. století,v dobe nejvetšího rozkvetu hrncírského remesla ve meste. Mezi klenebními žebry z pálené hrncírské hlíny jsou umísteny erby Ledecských pánu a jejich príbuzných. Pod presbyteriem se nachází hrobka pánu Mezirícských z Lomnice. Za pozornost stojí též cínová krtitelnice ve tvaru obráceného zvonu z roku 1518.

EN:Ledec was already on 13 century parish settlement. The first written mention of the church dates from the year 1350, when it was entered in the church.

In the 16th century during the reign of Jan Burian Ledecsky of Ricany and Zdenek Mezirícsky of Lomnice tower was built and completed construction of the church. Presbytery and the north side Chapel of Our Lady of the Gothic period around the 1400th. Chancel with cross vault with ribs on consols, is illuminated by four high windows with tracery impressive. European rarity is a network vault ship that does not support, but only decorative purposes. Made by potters from Ledec in the 16 century, at the time of flowering biggest pottery in the city. Under presbyteriem is located the tomb of Mezirícsti from Lomnice. It is noteworthy also tankard baptistery in the shape of the bell in 1518.
