South of Osceola. Park 1/2 mile west of the corner of 280th St. & 55th Ave.
There’s lots to see along an easy hike in the Prairie Restoration area, thanks to the people of Standing Cedars Community Land Conservancy (visit link) This cache was placed right after a controlled burn and it’s amazing how quickly the plants were coming up. Look for Prairie Smoke, Lupines and other native prairie plants.
Some time in 2013 the giant white pine fell victim to fire. Hopefully a new sentinel will grow in its place.
