Geocache Description:

Wanna get lucky? Well, then come to dinner!

What:

An early evening get together for food, conversation, and a little bit of poker (if you so choose) as a reward for an afternoon of caching! Certainly good food and conversation with your fellow cachers should be enough to make you want to attend this event – the poker is just added entertainment! Whether you choose to play or not, all cachers are welcome to join us for the festivities. For those interested in participating in the poker portion of the evening, please see the see the “How do I get dealt in?” section below.

When:

Saturday, May 30th 2009 @ 5:30 pm

Where:

Chammps
2401 West Seventh Street
St. Paul, MN 55116
Phone: 651-698-5050

How do I get dealt in?

To be “dealt in”, you’ll need to find seven temp caches placed in Highland Park (St. Paul) (waypoints will be added and go active the morning of Saturday, May 30th). The temp caches will contain sealed, numbered envelopes with one card per envelope. Each cacher will collect one envelope from each cache (seven total) and bring their sealed envelopes to Champps. Two envelopes will be opened for the 1st round of Hold’Em, two more will be opened for a 2nd round of Hold’Em, the four will be used to play a game of Omaha Hi-Lo, and then the additional three will be opened and one round each of Seven-card Stud and Razz will be played. As we will forego the betting rounds, winners will truly have to “Get Lucky” to win! Unactivated geocoins will be given to the winners of each round (so at least six, not counting ties), with extra prizes being given out if there are any left (via an extra round of cards or as door prizes). No knowledge of any of the games is necessary for you to play – rules will be explained before each game is played. If you’re interested, an explanation and rules for each game can be found here: Texas Hold’Em, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-card Stud, and Razz.

If you intend on coming, please log a "will attend" as I need to get a rough estimate of how many cards to put in each cache. If you decide to come at the last minute, that is okay too -- there will be extra cards added to each cache on top of the count! Hope to see you there!

5/26/09 UPDATE: Caches will be placed in Highland Park in St. Paul.
