This cache was placed in honor of Rivington Winant. Mr. Winant generously donated to the city of Concord, NH the 85 acres of woods that are now called Winant Park. Use the Related Web Page link to access an online trail map (link valid as of April 2013).
Winant Park is a lovely area that is home to a lot of wildlife and offers trails for hiking, mountain biking, and show shoeing. As per Mr. Winant's request, some of the trees were cut down around the area where this cache is located so as to open up the views that Mr. Winant enjoyed as a boy. We took it upon ourselves to call this scenic spot "Rivington's View". We placed this camoed small pill bottle cache here so that you may also enjoy the view. If you time your visit right, you may get to enjoy a lovely sunset. Just be sure to take your time as you walk up the trail to this spot so that you aren't all out of breath when you reach the cache. Congrats to buckette and DocRoss - Co-FTFs!
