The cache is not at the posted coordinates. Solve the puzzle.
We think the puzzle is difficult but the hide is meant to be not as hard.
You are looking for a small cache “tube” camoed and on the ground in a hollow of a tree -- As always, stealth is a must. So please replace the rock protecting the tree cavity from muggles and hungry squirrels. At the time it was originally placed the area had fewer fences — This area is largely but NOT entirely fenced - I found access by the benches (Dec 2023). Please report any issues with the placement. GZ
On average we are in NYC every 6 weeks or so (8 to 10 times per year) and we believe that we can deal with cache issues on a prompt basis - please report any issues with the cache to the CO so that we can deal with them promptly. (Feb 2023: I noticed issues in getting coordinates using Safari - but Google Chrome works fine.)
Puzzle:
Although this puzzle does not involve mathematics, you will have to figure out what to do with the black characters below to obtain the coordinates.
It would be ironic if we invented a new type of puzzle. Although we don’t think that we have. We have hidden clues on this page. They are obscure but they include some of our favorite ways of hiding information.
