This is a series of 20 traditional caches, starting from Whitemans Green near Cuckfield, set in a sort of figure of eight with Sidnye Farm in the middle. They are mostly micros, but 3 are larger for your swaps. There are no pencils in the micros, so remember to bring your own. There is no bonus to bother about, so just enjoy the walk and the view!
To do the whole walk in one go (7 miles), start from Whitemans Green Recreation Ground car park and just follow the numbers. You can, alternatively, do the 2 loops separately. Each loop is about 3½ miles. The southern loop (1 - 5 and then 17 – 20) should be done from Whitemans Green. The northern loop (8 – 16 and then 6 – 7) can be done by parking beside the lane, just before #8.
Whitemans Green is on bus route numbers 271 and 272, both from Haywards Heath to Crawley. Get off the bus at The Ship Inn, Whitemans Green.
Dogs are allowed, but MUST be kept on a lead for most of the walk, as you will be passing through many fields of sheep, and areas with lots of game birds. You will also see lots of horses, but these are fenced off from the footpaths.
