This cache is placed near the small village of Bayad, north of
Ubud. Take the day to explore the area and stunning surroundings of
ancient rice terraces and temples, meandering rivers running
through ravines, and experience the heart of the 'true' Bali. Not
too far away from this cache is Pura Gunung Kawi, known as one of
the oldest temples on the island of Bali, as well as several sets
of sacred hot springs.
The cache itself is in a very interesting area, with a
flourishing organic garden, over 5 kms of hiking paths, a lovely
waterfall, and a labyrinth of mysterious caves. If you make a day
of it, you won't be disappointed. Come and explore the nature and
culture of Bali!
The cache is accessible at no charge, but there are hiking
tours, caving, etc, in the vicinity if you're interested.
