Mata de Albergaria EarthCache

         Das paisagens naturais aqui existentes, destaca-se a presença de vegetação variada que surge intercalada por corpos geológicos e aspectos geomorfológicos que, muitas vezes, sobressaem pela sua forma e beleza. A geologia merece especial referência pela presença de dois tipos de granito: o granito do Gerês e o granito da Serra Amarela. Estes granitos encontram-se parcialmente recobertos por terrenos mais ou menos recentes como aluviões, areias e cascalheiras e, ainda, alguns depósitos de terraços fluviais. São ainda visíveis alguns filões quartzosos com orientações predominantes de noroeste-sudeste, norte-sul e nordeste-sudoeste. A geomorfologia geral desta mata é caracterizada por encostas íngremes e uma rede de linhas de água confluentes para uma espécie de bacia de recepção, onde se encontram os depósitos aluvionares, as areias e as cascalheiras. Os blocos rochosos isolados e arredondados têm, nas encostas, uma ampla distribuição e correspondem à morfologia granítica dominante na região.

         From the local existing natural landscape, highlights the presence of vegetation that is interspersed by various bodies that geological and geomorphological features, often out by their shape and beauty. The geology deserves special mention by the existence of two types of granite, the granite of Gerês and the granite of Serra Amarela. These granites are found partially covered by land more or less like recent floods, sand and gravel, and also some deposits of river terraces. Are still visible quartz with some philosophical guidelines prevailing northwest-southeast, north-south and northeast-southwest. The general geomorphology of this forest is characterized by steep slopes and a network of water lines, confluent for a kind of basin of receipt, where the alluvial deposits, the sand and gravel. The rock blocks are isolated and rounded, the slopes, a wide distribution and are the dominant granite morphology of the region.

         Nesta mata existem uma rede de linhas de água, vales e encostas que formam habitats propícios à existência de várias espécies de animais. Aqui poderemos encontrar a alvéola-branca (Motacilla alba), o cartaxo-comum (Saxicola torquata) e o pisco-de-peito-ruivo (Erithacus rubecula) mas vários outros sons são constantes e representam uma das principais formas de detecção de elementos da fauna, nomeadamente de aves.

         Nas zonas mais húmidas, predominam uma variedade de anfíbios e outros répteis como a lagartixa-de-bocage (Podarcis bocagei) ou a cobra-lisa-europeia (Coronella austriaca).

         Para visualizar ou sentir a existência de muitos outros mamíferos, terá de estar atento aos ínfimos indícios, como as pinhas roídas que denunciam a presença do esquilo (Sciurus vulgaris) ou a terra revolvida, resultado do fossar do javali (Sus scrofa).

         In this forest there is a network of water lines, valleys and slopes that form habitats conducive to the existence of several species of animals. Here you can find the white-wagtail (Motacilla alba), the stonechat (Saxicola torquata) and europian robin (Erithacus rubecula) but several other sounds are constant and represent a major means of detection of elements of the fauna , particularly of birds.

         In more humid areas, dominate a variety of amphibians and other reptiles such as bocage's wall lizard (Podarcis Bocage) or the Coronella austriaca (Coronella austriaca).

         To see or feel the existence of many other mammals, must be attentive to the little signs, such as rodent cones to denounce the presence of the squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris) or the land Revolver, rooting the result of wild boar (Sus scrofa).

         As espécies arbóreas que marcam a paisagem desta mata são predominantemente carvalhos e medronheiros (Arbutus unedo) com destaque para o carvalho alvarinho (Quercus robur L.), vidoeiro (Betula alba L.) e salgueiro branco (Salix salvifolia Brot.).

         Das herbáceas, destaca-se a erva-dos-piolhos (Pedicularis sylvatica L.), o termentelo (Thymus caespítilius Brot.), a margarida-do-monte (Bellis perennis L.), a macela (Chamaemelum nobile (L.) All), entre outras acompanhantes dos matos. Na albufeira de Vilarinho das Furnas, na margem direita do troço que percorre uma parte da Via Romana (Geira), encontra-se uma orla de vegetação ribeirinha, com um habitat em bom estado de conservação, constituída por espécies, como o salgueiro (Salix spp.), o vidoeiro (Betula alba L.) e a gilbarbeira (Ruscus aculeatus L.), uma espécie protegida pela Directiva Habitats.

         The trees that mark the landscape of woods are predominantly oak and arbutus (Arbutus unedo) with emphasis on the oak (Quercus robur L.), birch (Betula alba L.) and white willow (Salix salvifolia Brot.).

         Of grass, there is a grass-of-lice (Pedicularis sylvatica L.), the termentelo (Thymus caespítilius Brot.), The daisy-the-hill (Bellis perenne L.), camomile (Chamaemelum nobile (L.) All), and other companions of the bushes. In the reservoir of Vilarinho das Furnas, on the right bank of the section that runs through part of the Via Romana (Geir), is an edge of riparian vegetation, with a habitat in good repair, consisting of species such as willow (Salix spp.), the birch (Betula alba L.) and gilbarbeira (Ruscus aculeatus L.), a species protected under the Habitats Directive.
