Geocache Description:

Walk and cache details
A series of 19 caches on a 4 ½ mile (approx 7.2km) woodland walk through Monkdown Woods and Bredhurst Hurst.
You are looking for a 0.25 litre snap lock container.

Series Information
There are 19 caches on the series, and a recent addition in March 2013, added 10 more to the existing 9 which were numbered A and B respectively.
There are a number of smaller and larger clip top boxes on the walk for trackables.
Please keep dogs on leads where marked due to pheasant and other game that is in some of the woods that you pass by on the walk.

Geocaching Souvenir
An eSouvenir is available - add this code to your account profile to display the image.

Terrain
The walk from 01B to 04 can be very very muddy in bad weather and wellington boots or strong waterproof trail boots are recommended. Additionally the walk on caches from 04B to 06 can be very very muddy during bad weather.
Caches in these sections have a slightly higher terrain rating because of that.

Restored woodland
The woods have been the subject of considerable restoration over recent years to remove fly-tipping.
Volunteers have cleared away every trace of fly-tipping and Bredhurst Hurst now looks cared for and is being enjoyed by an increasing number of walkers and horse riders.

Details of the work can be found on Bredhurst Woodland Action Group web site.

Many of the paths can be quite muddy even in the summer so good boots are recommended.
An explorer map 148 will help with navigation, however additional waypoints are provided below to help guide you along the route.

From the recommended parking head towards the church and turn right at the barrier waypoint W1, and follow the path with the churchyard on your left. Continue past the kissing gate and down the track.

Series originally set up by 'The Butlers Did It' in 2009.
Adopted from 'The Butler Did It' by Chris King.
Adopted from 'Chris-King in June 2016' by Plugster-UK.
