Luodolla on jatkosodan aikainen bunkkeri (rak.1942) ja toiminnassa oleva sektoriloisto. Kätköpaikan maasto on T2-3 kun olet päässyt luodolle.
Most maritime cache on the small islet in the middle of Gulf of Finland
On the islet there are a bunker from the years of the Continuation War (1941-1944) and a sector light which is operative. Caches terrain is between 2-3, after you have been reached the islet.
Halliluoto on läheisten Koirasaaren ja Koirasaarenluotojen ohella Helsingin kaupungin virkistysaluetta. Luoto tunnetaan myös nimellä Gråskärsbådan.

Luodolle saapuminen
HUOMIO!!! Luodolle kiinnittyminen veneellä on tehtävä erityisellä harkinnalla, koska:
Luodon läheltä, 500 metrin päästä, menee laivaväylä Helsingin Länsisatamaan. Laivojen muodostamaa aallokkoa pitää ehdottomasti tarkkailla. Aallot ovat luotoon iskeytyessä murskaavan voimakkaat. Sinun täytyy siis olla valmiina ajamaan vene pois luodon läheltä, kun havaitset laivan väylällä.
Voi olla, että tarvitset kaverin tipauttamaan sinut loggauspuuhiin ja hakemaan pois. Varaudu uimaan tai kahlaamaan luodolle, jos aallokko on voimakasta. Turvallisuussyistä ota jokin narullinen kelluke mukaan. Veneellä on syytä odotella melko kaukana rannasta.
Luodolle rantautuminen on mahdollista ensisijaisesti pohjoisen suunnasta lähestyttäessä. Vedenalaisia kiviä ei ole, joten potkurin suhteen ei tarvitse pelätä. Purjeveneellä lähestyttäessä syvyys ei riitä. Pienellä apuveneellä tai merikajakilla voi rantautua myös etelän suunnasta aallokosta riippuen.
Sektoriloisto
Loiston tekniikkaan ei pidä koskea, eikä mastoon kiivetä.
Merenkulun turvalaitteiden käpälöiminen on kieletty!
Bunkkerin päällä, entisen tykin paikalla, on Gråskärsbådan-niminen sektoriloisto. Ensimmäinen loisto rakennettiin luodolle jo vuonna 1927 ennen bunkkeria. Loisto sijaitsi aiemmin tutkaheijastimen päällä. Nykyinen loisto mastoineen on asennettu 1990.
Peruskorjauksia loistolle on tehty vuosina 1967, 1979 ja 1990. Vuonna 1979 loiston asetyleeniliekkivalo muutettiin 5W hehkulampulla toimivaksi, ja virtalähteenä olivat paristot. Lyhty linsseineen on 1960-luvulta. Nykyään loiston virtalähteenä ovat akut, joita ladataan loiston mastoon sijoitetuilla 1m2 aurinkopaneelilla. Maston korkeus on 9,4m, ja valon korkeus vedenpinnasta 12m. Valon kantomatka 7 meripeninkulmaa.
Oranssiksi maalattu tutkaheijastin on 1960-luvulta, mahdollisesti 1967 rakennettu samalla kun loisto on peruskorjattu. Loistoon on rakennettu 1980/90-lukujen vaihteessa radioteitse toimiva kaukovalvonta. Lisäksi merenkulkulaitos käy paikanpäällä tarkastuskäynnillä kahdesti vuodessa, koska kyse on kauppamerenkulun valaistusta turvalaitteesta.

Halliluoto (seal islet) is a recreation ground of Helsinki City as its neihgbour islets called Koirasaari and Koirasaarenluoto too. The islet is also known by swedish name Gråskärsbådan. When approaching the islet you know that you have found the right place when you see a familiar logo.
Arrival by boat
Please note! Mooring a boat to the islet requires special consideration, because:
Near the cliff, 500 metres away, there is a sea lane to the West Harbour of Helsinki. You have to absolutely observe the swell that ships make. Waves are very crushing when they hit the islet. You have to be ready to drive the boat away, when you notice a ship on the lane.
It may be, that you'll need a friend to drop you to the islet for logging and get you back from there. Get ready to swim or wade, if the waves are strong. For the security reasons, take some floating equipment with rope along. With the boat it is good to wait a quite far away from the cliff.
Going ashore is possible primarily when approaching the islet from the north. Underwater stones we didn't found, so you don't have to be worried about a screw. For the sailboats the depth is not enough. With a little assisting boat or a sea kayak you can go ashore from the south too, provided that the swell isn't strong.
The sector light
The sector light's technique must leave untouched and do not climb to its mast either.

On the bunker, at the place of an ancient gun, there is a sector light called Gråskärsbådan. The first light was built on the islet already in 1927 before the bunker. Later, on the 60's, the light mounted on the top of the orange radar reflector. The current light with mast was installed 1990.
Renovations have been made in 1967, 1979 and 1990. In 1979 an acetylene flame lamp was modified to use a light bulb (5W) whose power source was most probably cells. A lantern and its lenses are from the 60's. Nowadays the signal light's power source are batteries that are charged by a 1m2 solar panel which is located in the mast. The height of the tower is 9,4 metres. The light's height from the sea level is 12 metres and the radius 7 mails.
A radar reflector, painted in orange, is also from the 60's, probably it has been built at the same time when the signal light has been renovated. At the turn of the 80's and 90's there has been built a remote surveillance system which works by radio waves. In addition, Finnish maritime authority inspections are made twice a year because the signal light is safety device for commercial navigation.
