Welcome to Laurinlahti! This cache introduces you one of the bronze age graves in Laurinlahti. You can also take a look at the architecture of Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen. THE CACHE IS NOT ON THE GRAVE SO PLEASE DON'T TOUCH THE STONES! TAKE YOUR OWN PEN WITH YOU!
Kätköpaikan vieressä on noin 3000 vuotta vanha pronssikautinen röykkiöhauta. Haudat sijoitettiin usein paikoille, joista oli näköala merelle – kuten täältä. Laurinlahti on varsin tiiviisti rakennettu pientaloalue, mutta muinaismuistoillekin on jätetty oma tilansa. Noin 50 metrin päässä kätköltä pohjoiseen sijaitsee asunto-osakeyhtiö Merenneito, jonka ovat suunnitelleet alueella asuneet arkkitehtiveljekset Timo ja Tuomo Suomalainen. Heidän tunnetuin työnsä on Temppeliaukion kirkko, yksi suosituimmista turistikohteista Helsingissä. Käy myös tutustumassa samojen arkkitehtien suunnittelemaan Espoonlahden kirkkoon (Kipparinkatu 8, N60°08.958 E024° 39.122).

This cache leads your way to about 3000 years old round barrow made of stones. The barrows were usually situated in places with a view to the sea – like this one. Laurinlahti is quite built-up area but the ancient monuments have their own space. About 50 meters north from the cache site you'll find Apartment House Company "Merenneito" by architect brothers Timo and Tuomo Suomalainen, most well known as the architects of the Temppeliaukio church which is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Helsinki. Remember also to visit Church of Espoonlahti (Kipparinkatu 8, N60°08.958 E024° 39.122) by the same architects.
By car: Ristiniementie offers lots of parking lots.
