Geocache Description:

Carrog railway station in Denbighshire, Wales, was formerly a station on the Ruabon to Barmouth line. It closed to passengers on Monday 18 January 1965 but subsequently reopened as part of the preserved Llangollen Railway. It is currently the western terminus of the line, until the extension to Corwen is completed.

Nice easy cache to pick up if you are passing through this station just off the A5. As always please take care, and keep your eyes open for muggles, thanks. There is no pen/pencil in this cache, so please take one. It is one of the ever expanding SideTracked series created by bikermel75 and schnarf. SideTracked started at Evesham station on August 10th 2007, placed by schnarff & bikermel76. It took a while to get started, but is now spreading across the country! About SideTracked, We have Motorway Mayhem. We have A-Road Anarchy (cos there aren’t many Motorways in Wales! We do have Village Vexations in North Wales GC116GE). But what about public transport users? SideTracked Caches are intended to provide quick Cache-and-dashes at Train Stations.

About SideTracked

Parking can be easily found just the other side of the bridge or in the railway car park when its open. Camping is very close by and there is a very popular pub in Carrog called the Grouse Inn. Why not pop in for a drink and admire the views from the terrace.
