Geocache Description:

Beauport is one of Jersey’s treasures.Located on the south coast it is sheltered on 3 sides by cliffs and enjoys the sun into the early evening.
It can be reached only on foot by a path leading from the car park at the top of the cliffs. This is quite a steep descent which helps to ensure that it seldom gets too crowded.

The beach, which has pebbles near the top but fine sand lower down, is dominated by huge rock pinnacles sculpted into fantastic shapes by the elements. Bathing is safe with the sea always close at all tide levels. Sometimes the bay fills up with yachts at anchor, but most people regard these as a colourful addition to the scene. There are no facilities.

Served by bus route 12a.

This cache may not be available all year round due to the growth of bracken. Once 20 meters from the cache don't climb up, follow 'path' around rocks, past the rope swing and climb down from the top. Much safer. This cache is child and dog friendly until the last part when some climbing is involved. When at the cache you are in full view from the car park and beach so take care not to draw attention to yourself!
