Water and stones in a forest Multi-cache

The Corbière 's forest Natural Area is in fact a testimony of human activity that tranformed the landscape. The walk or ride will allow you a walk around a small artificial lake before going for the cache

• A parking is dedicated to this area [N48 08.219 W1 22.459].
• First go to see the mill's main building [N48 08.367 W1 22.257]. Let X be the number of windows guarded by a metallic grid in the wall facing the water.
• Then go to a path crossing in the wood [N48 08.825 W1 22.091]. From there you see the dwelling of an animal. If this animal is smaller than a cuckoo, let Y=1. If it's between a cuckoo and a fox let Y=2. If it's bigger than a fox, let Y=3.
• Continue your walk around the lake. You can get closer to it [N48 08.509 W1 22.382] and follow the shore to the west or you can visit the ruins of the hamlet of Chevigner with a well restored oven [N48 08.740 W01 22.513].
• Next, go to the south-west bank of the lake [N48 08.369 W1 22.388]. Let Z be the number of jetties dedicated to fishing.
• Last go to the entrance of the cache area [N48 08.(Y+Z)(Y+Z)0 W1 22.(X-Y)(X+Z)8] and reach the cache location [N48 08.(Y+Z)(X-Y-Z-2)0 W1 22.(X-Y)(X+Y)1]. Be careful : aiming directly to the cache can be dangerous!

When searching this cache on thursdays in winter, be careful not to be in the middle of a hunting party!

L'Espace Naturel de la Forêt de Corbière est en fait un territoire qui a été largement transformé par l'activité humaine (étang artificiel, carrière, exploitation de la forêt,...). Une promenade autour de l'étang permet de glaner des indices pour localiser la cache.

• Un parking est disponible pour les promeneurs [N48 08.219 W1 22.459].
• Commencer par aller à proximité du moulin [N48 08.367 W1 22.257] et compter le nombre X de fenêtres protégées par une grille sur la façade coté étang.
• Ensuite aller à un croisement de chemin [N48 08.825 W1 22.091] d'où on peut observer au nord est l'habitat caractéristique d'un animal. Si cet animal est plus petit qu'un coucou, poser Y=1. S'il est plus gros qu'un coucou mais moins qu'un renard, Y=2. S'il est plus gros qu'un renard, Y=3.
• Pour se rapprocher des bords de l'étang, aller au point [N48 08.369 W1 22.388] et suivre la rive vers l'ouest ou visiter l'ancien hameau de Chevigner avec un four à pain bien restauré [N48 08.740 W01 22.513].
• Puis rejoindre la rive sud-ouest du lac [N48 08.369 W1 22.388] et compter le nombre Z de jetées réservées à la pêche.
• Rejoindre l'entrée de la zone de la cache [N48 08.(Y+Z)(Y+Z)0 W1 22.(X-Y)(X+Z)8] puis l'emplacement de la cache elle-même [N48 08.(Y+Z)(X-Y-Z-2)0 W1 22.(X-Y)(X+Y)1]. Attention : aller directement vers la cache peut être dangereux!

Pour les visites hivernales, les jeudis, vérifier qu'une partie de chasse n'est pas en cours!
