This is a quick cache-and-dash on a little known section of the Wappingers Greenway Trail. DO NOT attempt to stop on Route 9 as there is a small parking area within 100 yards of the cache given below. As this is not quite an "urban cache" I've placed some bison tubes inside for others to set up their own.
The walk to the cache is paved but the terrain is rated 1.5 because you have to leave the pavement to get the cache. You are searching for a decon container that was placed to be winter friendly. Please take note of how the cache is placed and be careful when retrieving/replacing it. The park is open from 7am-10pm and allows great spots for bird watching and fishing.
This cache was placed in recognition of redrumNYHC's cache FTF Challenge "redrumNYHC".
The series is designed to challenge cachers to put out more urban caches. If every FTF follows suit, you can expect a new urban hide every week!
For this cache's FTF I challenge you to put out an urban/grab and go hide in the area within 7 days of your find. If and when you place the cache you should name it- FTF Challenge "your geocaching name" and issue the same challenge as I have.
This is not a requirement to log the cache but if I were you I would rather be known as a giver and not a taker.
