Geocache Description:

PI DAY AROUND THE GLOBE

The folks from G.E.A. - Spanish Geocachers Association (G.E.A. is born under the legal figure of “Non Lucrative Association”) had the idea of bringing together all the 3/14 event caches that made some reference to PI DAY. They noticed Beware the Hides of March ... and contacted us to see if we wanted to do a joint project. The resulting partnership has led to a pair of caches locally, part of an international collection of 20 caches!

The idea of this SPECIAL CACHE is to make a connection between geocachers all over the world.

Here's how it works:

Worldwide, there are 10 Pi Day 2009 Traditional caches

Inside each Traditional cache logbook is a special number which is needed to solve the Mystery-Puzzle caches.

Now here is what you have to do in order to solve the Mystery-Puzzle cache near you.

Hunt the
Traditional cache near you and take note of the special number written in that logbook.

Search www.Geocaching.com for the other
Traditional caches and visit each of them! (or contact one of the Geocachers who found that Traditional and Exchange the found Numbers).

(Be aware if you find one of the Pi Day traditional caches, you may be contacted yourself.)

If you have all 10 Special numbers you can solve the
Mystery-Puzzle caches!

Happy hunting!

A=__ B=__ C=__ D=__ H=__ O=__ P=__ Q=__ W=__ X=__

FINAL: N 38° 34.[ A + B + Q - C - P - 53 ]
W 121° 46.[ (H * H) - (O * 13) ]
(bracketed portion needs to be 3-digits)
As the owner of Puzzle "H" says, "Please don't be a poor sport! Never publish these codes anywhere! Not in a log report or on any web site. The codes should only be exchanged / traded between geocachers that have found the Traditional caches and want to search for the Mystery caches."

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
