"kinu no Michi" opens a port in 1859 Yokohama, and is one of the routes where a lot of raw silk for export is carried afterwards for the period when the railway develops about the middle of the Meiji era. It had been said in old times, "Kanagawa ohkan" or "Hama-kaidoh".
Hachioji City is specifying about 1.5km from "Kinu no Michi" Stone monument to "gotenn-bashi" for the historic site.
Some cache was put on the way of Kinu no Michi.
The bus is recommended to select the following routes and to be used. Because the car is not permitted to pass as for the district where Cache was concealed.
Route 1
It gets on the bus for the "hachioji-minamino" station from "Kitano" station in keio line. And, it gets off in "Sakaue" stop. (A reverse-route is also possible. )
Route 2
It gets on the bus for "Hachioji Station south exit" from the "hachioji-minamino" station of JR. And, it gets off in "Sakaue" stop. (A reverse-route is also possible. )
「絹の道」は、1859年に横浜が開港し、
その後、鉄道が発達する明治の中ごろまで、
輸出用の生糸が多数運ばれたルートのひとつです。
かつては「神奈川往還」または「浜街道」と言われていました。
八王子市は「絹の道碑」の前から、「御殿橋」のたもとまでの
約1.5ｋｍを史跡に指定しています
絹の道の一部は自動車が通行が出来ません。
バスを利用することを勧めます。
いかにアクセスの例を示します。
ルート1
京王線の「北野」駅から「はちおうじみなみ野」駅行きのバスに乗車して、
「坂上」停留所で下車。（逆ルートも可）
ルート２
JRの「はちおうじみなみ野」駅から、「八王子駅南口」行きのバスに乗車し
「坂上」停留所で下車。（逆ルートも可）
