Geocache Description:

The listed coordinates are bogus and meaningless. Ignore them.

Decided to take a walk the other day, and thought it a good day to hide a cache. Drove out to one of our favorite places, and as I was parking the car, backed over a big ol’ rock. Dang it – just had the tires rotated and balanced. Got out, grabbed a .50 cal ammo box, and it was off up the trail. Walked awhile, then awhile longer, till came to a cutback trail off to the left. A few hundred feet after making that sinister right-angle turn, I stopped to take in the view. Looked around a bit, then…what’s this? A tree with long exposed roots, and a strange script carved into them: sefndseroireehrnuerteeorhxzvfgtieiee was scrawled on one, and thfwehoetvgovriiwiufetfoo was scratched onto the other. Even wierder, each root was square, and they came together to make a box just wide enough that I could stand in its center! I stood there, circumvolving these strange scripts while scratching my head, and suddenly the answer came to me. I first turned to my left, then re-thought and turned to my right – and there it was, just where the scripts said it would be! The perfect hiding place for the ammo box…and it is still there, just waiting for your head to quit spinning so you can grab this cache.

Parking is in an obvious place a little over a mile away. There’s a nice trail for your convenience, but you’ll want to walk past the hide for a little ways till you come to a side trail – otherwise, you make a 4.5 terrain out of this one real quick. Enjoy the walk, enjoy the views…just remember that you are caching in the South, and this one comes complete with the usual complement of critters and such. FTF prize is a fully stocked small cache ready to hide.
