Geocache Description:

A walk along the banks of the Huon River

This walk will take you along the banks of the river to near the cable handgliding that crosses over the river. If you hear a strange noise, look over towards the river.
The cache is located just off the track at the end of the loop. It is about 30cm above the ground level in a hole at the back of a tree. The tree you are looking for is the last in a row of 4, the first is about 10cm is diameter and they get larger after that. There is an area covered by leaf litter for access, so there is no need to go trampling plants or bushes.

This area is, apparently, a part of the Air Walk 'facility' and as such, there is an entrance fee to the area. When I placed the cache, I was following the instructions in the book "More Family Walks Around Hobart" which instructed people that the fee was only for the Air Walk itself. FT now require payment and have rangers checking visitor passes.

I am leaving this cache (and "2 Rivers Meet") here as a bonus for those cachers who do come to do the Air Walk. The walks to these 2 caches are well worth doing, even if you have to pay for it.
