Geocache Description:

A nano cache about 0.3 mile from the parking place. The cache is a camouflaged bison tube, so too small to contain a pencil/pen!

This is a nano cache placed close to a public bridleway on the level giving fine views from the top of Gales Hill. The lane has the ancient title of Dark Dale and leads, southwards, down to Minterne Parva, and north westwards above Minterne Magna, past Dogbury Hill and Dogbury Plantation. At Dogbury Hill, there is an ancient ‘enclosure’, leading you to believe that the lane and the enclosure go back many centuries, as indeed they probably do.

Best parking is at N50°50.354, W2°27.810. Surface is suitable for buggies, but is a little uneven. Good walking shoes should suffice, but there are some puddles after rain. This is a fairly popular area for walkers, so take care when accessing the cache. Also, take care when exiting onto the road, as it tends to be busy at times and some cars pass rather rapidly.

The cache is too small to contain a writing implement, so bring your own!

I have provided a spoiler photo, but don’t refer to it unless you really have to. The cache may well be visible from the path if you have sharp eyes.
